{"id":4,"date":"2011-12-08T11:55:34","date_gmt":"2011-12-08T11:55:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/project.inria.fr\/template1\/?page_id=4"},"modified":"2017-03-17T11:10:09","modified_gmt":"2017-03-17T10:10:09","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/project.inria.fr\/aerialimagelabeling\/","title":{"rendered":"The dataset"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Inria Aerial Image Labeling addresses a core topic in remote sensing: the automatic pixelwise labeling of aerial imagery (<a href=\"https:\/\/hal.inria.fr\/hal-01468452\/document\" target=\"_blank\">link<\/a> to paper).<\/p>\n<p>Dataset features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coverage of 810 km\u00b2 (405 km\u00b2 for training and 405 km\u00b2 for testing)<\/li>\n<li>Aerial orthorectified color imagery with a spatial resolution of 0.3 m<\/li>\n<li>Ground truth data for two semantic classes: <em>building<\/em> and <em>not building<\/em> (publicly disclosed only for the training subset)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The images cover dissimilar urban settlements, ranging from densely populated areas (e.g., San Francisco&#8217;s financial district) to alpine towns (e.g,. Lienz in Austrian Tyrol).<\/p>\n<p>Instead of splitting adjacent portions of the same images into the training and test subsets, different cities are included in each of the subsets. For example, images over Chicago are included in the training set (and not on the test set) and images over San Francisco are included on the test set (and not on the training set).
