The BCI4IA project relies on a top-level interdisciplinary consortium combining high expertise in the fields of the medical practice of General Anesthesia (CHRU Nancy, CHU Brugmann), Median Nerve Stimulation-based BCI and machine learning (Neurorhythms, LNMB) and Riemannian Geometry and Machine Learning Algorithms for BCI (Potioc). Moreover, this project is based on work that has already been authorized by a personal protection committee, the regional health agency and the national drug safety agency.

  • Anesthesia-intensive care unit of CHRU Nancy-Brabois. This unit is associated from the clinical sidewith the Research and Innovation Department (C. Meistelman, P. Guerci)
  • Neurorhythms is a team of the UMR 7503 LORIA (joint CNRS, University of Lorraine). The team’s objective is the computational modeling and experimental analysis of normal and pathological neuronal rhythms for medical applications (L. Bougrain and L. Buhry).
  • Potioc is a project-team of Inria Bordeaux Sud-Ouest. Its general objective is to design, develop and evaluate new multimodal interaction methods to stimulate creation, learning, accessibility or entertainment (F. Lotte, S. Rimbert).
  • Anesthesia and intensive care unit of CHU-Brugmann (Belgique). The CHU Brugmann is a university hospital affiliated to the Université Libre de Bruxelles (D. Schmartz, J. Bidgoli).
  • Laboratory of Neurophysiology and Movement Biomechanics (LNMB, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgique). The research carried out in the Faculty of Motor Sciences focuses on the sensory and motor plasticity of the organism in various situations, ranging from pathology to training for top-level athletes (A. Cebolla, G. Cheron).
