On the low Mach number limit for weakly compressible fluids

In this talk we review some (both classical and more recent) results on the low Mach number limit problem for weakly compressible fluids.
Adopting a PDEs perspective, we give a survey about studies devoted to the rigorous justification of the transition from weakly compressible to incompressible flows, in the limit when the Mach number goes to 0.
