This workshop will be held at BCAM in Bilbao (Spain) from 28\/09\/26 to 2\/10\/26.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.math.u-bordeaux.fr\/~aiollo\/Home.html\">Angelo Iollo<\/a><\/strong> is <em>Professeur des Universit\u00e9s de classe exceptionnelle<\/em> (Distinguished Full Professor) in Applied Mathematics at the <strong>University of Bordeaux<\/strong> and a senior resercher at <strong>INRIA<\/strong>, France&#8217;s national institute for research in digital sciences and technology. He leads the <strong>MONHADE research team<\/strong> (previously <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/team.inria.fr\/memphis\/\">Memphis<\/a> <\/strong>research team), devoted to advance mathematical and computational modeling of physical systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After earning his degree and PhD in Aerospace Engineering through a joint program between the <strong>Politecnico di Torino<\/strong> (Italy) and the <strong>NASA Langley Research Center<\/strong> (Virginia, USA), he joined INRIA in France and became Full Professor at the University of Bordeaux in 2004, where he developed a large international network. Angelo Iollo has also been part of entrepreneurial initiatives, contributing to the establishment of the startup <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nurea-soft.com\/fr\/accueil\/\">Nurea<\/a><\/strong>, which originated from the Memphis project team, and of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esteco.com\/optimad\/\"> <strong>Optimad Engineering<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His scientific work spans both high-fidelity full-order models, which aim at accurately reproducing complex physical phenomena, and reduced-order models (ROMs), which achieve similar predictive power with drastically lower computational cost.
