{"id":2,"date":"2014-11-12T17:26:19","date_gmt":"2014-11-12T16:26:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/compsysbio.webconf.inrialpes.fr\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2025-08-08T15:48:58","modified_gmt":"2025-08-08T13:48:58","slug":"sample-page","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/project.inria.fr\/compsysbio2025\/","title":{"rendered":"CompSysBio 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We are excited to announce the\u00a0<em>Advanced Lecture Course on Computational Systems Biology<\/em>, that will be held \u00a0<strong>in person<\/strong> in the<a href=\"http:\/\/project.inria.fr\/compsysbio2025\/venue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Aussois\u00a0ski resort<\/a> (France) between <strong>October 5th<\/strong> and\u00a0 <strong>October 10th, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This will be the 5th edition of CompSysBio and its 10th anniversary; for the previous four editions, see <a href=\"http:\/\/compsysbio.inria.fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CompSysBio 2015<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/project.inria.fr\/compsysbio2017\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CompSysBio 2017<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/project.inria.fr\/compsysbio2019\/\">CompSysBio 2019<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/project.inria.fr\/compsysbio2021\/\">CompSysBio2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Systems Biology<\/em> aims at describing living systems on the basis of the modeling of their complex inner and outer interactions. It provides conceptual and methodological frameworks to think biological systems, allowing to derive the falsifiable consequences of current models as confronted with the mass of molecular, cellular, physical and physiological data. Systems Biology is therefore intrinsically interdisciplinary, requiring strong interaction between researchers from biology and more formal sciences.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Course emphasis is methodological and targets participants from Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics, in addition to biologists motivated by Systems Biology. Sessions are therefore preferentially organized around methodological issues: dynamical and stochastic systems, multi-scale and spatio-temporal models, molecular networks, AI and machine learning for systems biology, single-cell data analysis, with a constant eye on biological relevance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Course will\u00a0be an opportunity for participants to interact directly with <a href=\"http:\/\/project.inria.fr\/compsysbio2025\/invited-speakers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">prominent scientists<\/a> in this rapidly growing field. In order to facilitate casual interactions, there will be time for hiking in the afternoon. The pedagogical scheme is\u00a0as follows (see <a href=\"http:\/\/project.inria.fr\/compsysbio2025\/program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">programme<\/a>):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Morning sessions with plenary lectures<\/li>\n<li>Early afternoon free<\/li>\n<li>End of afternoon sessions devoted to parallel <a href=\"http:\/\/project.inria.fr\/compsysbio2025\/blackboard-teaching-and-computer-practicals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blackboard teaching and computer practicals<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Evening sessions for selected short talks and for posters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Participants are strongly encouraged to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/project.inria.fr\/compsysbio2025\/registration\/\">submit an abstract<\/a><\/strong> of their current work to be presented as a poster in order to facilitate scientific interactions. Some abstracts will be selected for short talks by the Scientific Committee. Student fellowships are also available and will be awarded to cover registration fees on the basis of the submitted abstract.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important deadlines:<br
