Courses Taught by Visiting Professor Igor Klep

1. Advanced Topics in Quantum Information Theory – This course covers advanced concepts in quantum computing for students with prior knowledge of the field. Topics include quantum error correction, advanced algorithms like quantum random walks, and quantum cryptography. It also explores foundational aspects of quantum theory, such as entanglement, nonlocality, Bell’s theorem, and quantum teleportation.

2. Large-scale Mathematical Optimization – This course introduces mathematical programming (MP) as a tool for solving large-scale optimization problems. Topics include decision variables, constraints, and generic solvers. MP is widely used in industries like logistics, telecommunications, and finance, as well as in modern Machine Learning (ML) applications such as clustering and natural language processing.
