Inria’s long time collaborator Fabio Porto (LNCC, Rio de Janeiro) was awarded an Inria International Chair position 2024-2028 in the Inria Zenith team. Fabio is currently the manager of the Data Extreme Lab. (DEXL), the coordinator of the Institute for AI at LNCC, a project funded by MCTI, and the PI for Brazil of the HPDaSc Inria associated team. His research project as Inria International Chair is to help domain scientists (e.g. epidemiologists) build high-performing ML workflows across disparate datasets, which requires managing multiple candidate ML models, and heterogeneous computing platforms.
