Inria wishes to encourage long stays – from several weeks to a year – of scientists posted in international institutions in its research teams in France and give them greater visibility, by operating the “Inria International Chairs” (IIC) program of international chairs.
Since 2023, the program is open to a wider audience by proposing to distinguish between two ways for applying to the program:
◆ IIC “Starting Career” (5 to 12 years of experience): for permanent researchers who have been engaged in research activities for 5 to 12 years after the thesis defense
and research stay() of 6 to 9 months over 3 years.
◆ IIC “Advanced Career”:
for permanent researchers of international renown,
and research stay(s) of 10 to 12 months over 5 years.
