The Mourou-Strickland Mobility Program is an initiative designed by the French Embassy in Canada. Its aim is to encourage research collaboration between France and Canada and foster increased knowledge of specific research and innovation ecosystems in both countries.
The program is open to:
• researchers from Canada who are interested in traveling to France to explore the French ecosystem.
• researchers from France who are interested in traveling to Canada to explore the Canadian ecosystem.
The grant
The grant includes:
• 1 round-trip economy-class flight to Canada or to France;
• a contribution toward subsistence costs (5 fixed daily allowances).

- High Level Scientific Fellowship (outside Quebec)

The Embassy of France in Canada has partnered with Campus France to offer scholarships to PhD students or postdoctoral researchers working at a Canadian university for a 2-month research stay in France.
The call for applications is open to the following themes:
• Emerging technologies: AI, quantum science, etc.
• Health: global health, public health policy, genomics, etc.
• Ocean and polar sciences: oceanography, biodiversity, marine ecology, etc.
• Energy: renewable energy, net-zero transition, sustainability, etc.
The grant includes:
• 1 round-trip economy-class flight to France;
• a monthly stipend of €1,850 (subject to change);
• health insurance (including liability insurance)
