Jointly proposed by the French Society for Bioinformatics\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfbi.fr\">SFBI<\/a>), the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gdr-bim.cnrs.fr\/\">GDR BIM<\/a> and the French Institute for Bioinformatics (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.france-bioinformatique.fr\">IFB<\/a>), this annual national meeting in bioinformatics will\u00a0take place from monday July 3rd at 2 PM to thursday July 6th at noon, in Lille Grand Palais.<\/p>\n<p>The three previous editions were held in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jobim2016.sciencesconf.org\">Lyon<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www6.inra.fr\/jobim2015\">Clermont-Ferrand<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfbi.fr\/sites\/default\/files\/jobim\/jobim2014\/index.html\">Strasbourg<\/a> (associated with\u00a0ECCB).<\/p>\n<p>The main\u00a0themes adressed are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>genomics, comparative genomics and metagenomics<\/li>\n<li>evolution and phylogeny<\/li>\n<li>biodiversity, genetics and population genomics<\/li>\n<li>sequence analysis and pattern discovery<\/li>\n<li>cartography and genome annotation<\/li>\n<li>systems biology and biological networks<\/li>\n<li>macromolecular structures<\/li>\n<li>proteomics and interactions<\/li>\n<li>gene expression, functional genomics<\/li>\n<li>high-throughput sequencing data analysis<\/li>\n<li>non-coding RNAs<\/li>\n<li>epigenetics and epigenomics<\/li>\n<li>ontologies, databases,\u00a0data integration<\/li>\n<li>algorithmics and statistics for bioinformatics<\/li>\n<li>etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nThe annual meeting of the Young French Bioinformaticians (<a href=\"https:\/\/jebif.fr\/fr\/\">JeBiF<\/a>) will also take place during JOBIM on <a href=\"https:\/\/jebif.fr\/fr\/evenements\/jebif-workshop\/lille-jobim-2017-3eme-symposium-etudiants-beneluxfra\/\">July 6th and 7th<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;\">\n<table class=\"aligncenter\">\n<tr>\n<td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/project.inria.fr\/jobim2017\/files\/2017\/01\/SFBI_logo.png\" width=\"100px\" alt=\"logo_SFBI\"\/><\/td>\n<td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/project.inria.fr\/jobim2017\/files\/2017\/01\/gdrbim-logo-hr-transp.png\" width=\"100px\" alt=\"logo_BIM\"\/><\/td>\n<td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/project.inria.fr\/jobim2017\/files\/2017\/01\/ifb-logo_1.png\" width=\"130px\" alt=\"logo_IFB\"\/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Open days\u00a0in Biology, Computer Science and Mathematics For its\u00a018th edition, JOBIM is held\u00a0in\u00a0Lille.
