Consortium

The MobSciData Factory consortium brings together leading French public research institutions with complementary expertise in mobility, data science, digital infrastructures, and territorial analysis. The consortium is designed to address the full mobility data workflow, from data acquisition and governance to processing, modelling, and decision-support, while ensuring interoperability, reproducibility, and privacy.

Partner institutions

Inria is the French research institute for digital science and technology operating under the dual authority of the Ministry of Research and the Ministry of Industry. Ensuring technological and industrial sovereignty in the digital sector, Inria contributes expertise across the full mobility data pipeline, from data acquisition and processing to modelling, exploitation, and platform design. Inria is the scientific coordinator and is represented by five research teams: AGORA, ASCII, COATI, FUN, TRiBE.


IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN) is a major research and training player in the fields of energy, transport, and the environment, contributing advanced expertise in mobility data acquisition, data fusion, modelling, and digital infrastructures for sustainable mobility.


Université Gustave Eiffel and its LVMT multi-disciplinary laboratory work on mobility, transport, and interactions between city and transport. They bring strong expertise in mobility analysis, transport modelling, socio-economic studies, and the governance and publication of mobility research data.


The National Institute for Geographic and Forest Information (IGN) is a public administrative institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion. IGN and its LASTIG laboratory have long-standing expertise in geospatial data integration, spatial analysis, simulation, and visualization of mobility data.


CEREMA is a public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, intended to bring knowledge, scientific and innovative solutions to territories to improve the living environment of citizens. It contributes expertise in mobility data governance, evaluation of public planning and transport policies, and collaboration with public authorities.


École nationale des ponts et chaussées (ENPC) brings expertise in transport and mobility analysis, transport modelling, and the use of mobility data for planning and policy evaluation.
