MobSciData Factory is structured around a set of three interconnected scientific work packages (WPs) that cover the complete lifecycle of mobility data, from acquisition to processing, analysis, and platform deployment. Each work package addresses a key domain of research and development:
- WP1 — Privacy-preserving gathering and handling: Defines data sources, collects and inventories mobility data, and establishes governance principles for accessibility and quality.
- WP2 — Data enhancement and validity: Ensures transparent data lineage, context documentation, and representativity assessment to support reliable and reusable mobility datasets.
- WP3 — MobSciDat Factory: Develops modular, interoperable methods and tools for processing, enriching, and exploiting multi-source mobility data. More information on the dedicated page.
In addition to these scientific work packages, three transversal work packages support the organisation, dissemination, and coordination of the project:
- WP4 — Factory coordination, interaction, and use-cases: Ensures coordination across the project by structuring interactions between partners, identifying use-case requirements, and defining the architecture and infrastructure needed for data sharing and processing.
- WP5 — Dissemination, communication, and exploitation: Promotes the project’s results through scientific dissemination, communication activities, and engagement with academic, institutional, and territorial stakeholders.
- WP6 — Project management: Oversees the coordination and administrative management of the project, ensuring alignment with objectives, monitoring progress, and maintaining effective collaboration between partners and the ANR.
Together, the scientific work packages form an interactive workflow in which data collection feeds processing methods, results inform platform design, and scientific outcomes enrich the shared ecosystem.
