14:00-14:05: Welcome Talk
14:05-14:45: Keynote: Prof. Frank Steinicke – Blending AI and XR for the Next Generation of Smart Avatars and Intelligent Virtual Agents
Abstract: As we stand on the cusp of a new technological era, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Extended Reality (XR) is set to revolutionize the creation and functionality of smart avatars and intelligent virtual agents. This talk will explore how the fusion of these two domains can enhance user interaction by providing more immersive, adaptive, and emotionally responsive digital companions. We will discuss the advancements in AI that enable avatars to understand and respond to human emotions and behaviors, as well as the role of XR in creating engaging and lifelike environments. By examining current trends and future possibilities, we envision a future where intelligent virtual agents are not just tools, but integral partners in our digital lives.
