Welcome to the first SAMSON School!

The first SAMSON School will take place in Aix-les-Bains, France, from June 13 to June 17, 2016.

There, you will learn how to use SAMSON, the software platform for computational nanoscience, and SAMSON Elements (modules for SAMSON), as well as how to develop your own SAMSON Elements.

The program includes lectures about setting up SAMSON and using its core functionalities, as well as introductions to the current most popular SAMSON Elements, from simple SAMSON Elements defining e.g. selection editors, to more advanced SAMSON Elements offering complex functionality, e.g. interactive simulation with quantum mechanics or GROMACS force fields, modeling of carbon nanotubes and graphene sheets, protein-ligand docking with Vina, etc.

The program also includes lectures about setting up the SAMSON Software Development Kit (SDK) and developing your own SAMSON Elements. In these lectures, you will learn how to develop new apps, force fields, editors, visual representations, property calculations, etc. and, when you want to, how to share your SAMSON Elements on SAMSON Connect.
