We have plenty of news to share with you this month:
- We are happy to welcome two new joint research projects (associate teams) in the cohort of Inria@SiliconValley scientific collaborations, which illustrates the aim of the program to foster cooperations with California, going beyond our historical name and the silicon valley highlight ;)
- A very important news for the program this month: we invite you to save the date of June 8-9 for our annual Inria@SiliconValley workshop (BIS'2017), which will kindly be hosted by CITRIS and the Banatao Institute at UC Berkeley.
- Also important for the Inria@SiliconValley community, we would like to advertize opportunities for your collaborations:
• Two Inria-funded postdoctoral grants are available to support ongoing as well as emerging collaborations between Inria and California laboratories. Eligible candidates are welcome to apply till the March 31st deadline!
• PhD students working in the Cybersecurity domain may want to apply for the FADEx program organized by The Office for Science & Technology at the Embassy of France in the United States so as to network with their peers in the USA and in France.
• Research positions are currently open at Inria and it is still time to apply!
• The France Stanford Center for Interdisciplinary Studies 2017 call to support collaboration between French and Stanford partners is open until March 15th.
- Last but not least we would like to congratulate Professor Guibas, co-PI of the COMET associate team “Computational methods for the analysis of high-dimensional data” (2011-2013), who got elected at the NAE.
As usual, feel free to share relevant news, including upcoming events, with the Inria@SiliconValley community!
Valerie Issarny, program scientific coordinator, on behalf of the Inria@SiliconValley Team
