Don’t miss the upcoming deadlines for supporting your collaborations:
- Inria@SiliconValley associate teams 2017 call to support Inria-California joint research projects;
- Fulbright Fellowships for PhD students and Researchers;
- Inria International chairs to welcome experienced international researchers for long visits (12 months over a 5-year period).

We are also happy to feature the research of our colleagues engaged in collaborations between Inria and California:
-  A focus on the SPLENDID associate team that ran in 2012-14 to investigate self-paced learning;
- The REALMS associate team that is enabling « Smart Mariana » with its sensor network solution: watch their video presentation released during the Viva Tech trade-show;
- Young researchers involved in the ORESTE and COMFORT associate teams, Maria Laura Delle Monache and Samitha Samaranayake, received the France-Berkeley Fund award for high-achieving younger researchers: Maria tells us about the award and her work;
- Rajesh Gupta, co-leader of the COMPOSITE Associate team and Inria International chair holder, gave two talks at the Inria Rennes Research Center;
- Damien Wassermann, co-leader of the LargeBrainNets associate team got awarded a prestigious ERC starting grant from the European Research Council to realise the vision of formalising neuroanatomical language: read his interview!

Last but not least we would like to congratulate the 3 selected Inria@SiliconValley 2017 Post-Doctoral fellows: Melissa Ailem, Shuxia Tang and Georgios Bouloukakis. We are thrilled to welcome them in the Inria@SiliconValley community!
