Edito - March 2018

This month we are glad to announce the opening of the annual call for  Inria@SiliconValley post-docs to support Inria-California collaborations (2 slots available). The deadline to apply is April 30th.

As you know, the deadline for "made in Inria" start-ups to apply to the NETVA program is March 30th. The CEOs of 2017 laureates Lybero.net and iExec present their start-ups and share with us their experience with the program!

In this edition, we focus on the Meta&Co joint research project between the PARIETAL Inria team in Saclay and Stanford university on "Machine learning for meta-analysis of functional neuroimaging data". This associate team (formerly known as MetaMRI) has been renewed in 2018 for 3 years.

Another Inria-California collaboration is highlighted this month: Christian Duriez, head of the DEFROST Inria team, is spending 6 months in the CHARM Lab at Stanford university, supported by a Fulbright fellowship. He tells us about his work on "soft robots" and the collaboration with his California partner.

Last but definitely not least, we celebrated in March the 41st international women's rights day. On this occasion, Inria wanted to highlight one of its strong points in 2017: the signature by its former president and CEO, Antoine Petit, of the Commitment agreement for public communication without gender stereotypes.
