The Inria@SiliconValley team is very happy to present you this monthly newsletter, a new tool to share with you the latest news about the program, highlighting in particular the collaborations that are starting and strengthening in 2015.

Inria@SiliconValley is now in its 5th year, accompanying collaborations between Inria researchers and colleagues from California. In 2015, 4 new associated teams have been created for a period of 3 years and 2 have been renewed

In total, we have currently 15 associate teams between Inria and Californian teams, together with 4 Inria International Chair positions held by Professors and researchers of Californian universities and laboratories. In addition, fruitful collaboration on the smart city topic keeps ongoing with CITRIS colleagues, with a special focus on promoting citizen engagement.

This month, among other news, we are glad to advertise the opening of a Post-Doc position to support research collaboration between Inria and Californian teams. Deadline for application is March 15th.

Last but not least, please save the date of May 12-14th, 2015 where CITRIS will be hosting the 5th edition of the Inria@SiliconValley workshop on the University of California, Berkeley campus. The workshop will allow presenting ongoing collaborations as much as opening grounds for new ones.

In addition, an Inria-Industry meeting on smart cities & mobility will be organized on May 11th in San Francisco, which will be the opportunity to pitch innovation from research teams and startups from both Inria and the Bay area.

Don’t forget to visit the Inria@SiliconValley web site at https://project.inria.fr/siliconvalley/ to follow updates on our collaborations and feel free to share information with us!
