July 2015

Edito

This period of the year often comes with results as well as openings of calls!

Regarding specifically Inria@SiliconValley, we are happy to advertise the current open calls for grants fostering collaboration between Inria and California researchers with the Inria Associate Teams and Inria International Chairs programs.

New this year, the Associate Team call includes a new partnership with CITRIS. This specific call acknowledges the fruitful collaboration between Inria and CITRIS, as well as the need to increase the leverage of the seed funding provided by Inria@SiliconValley toward ambitious transatlantic collaborative projects.

On the results side, we are happy to congratulate our colleagues who got awarded grants by the France-Stanford Center for Interdisciplinary Studies and the France-Berkeley Fund: Christine Azevedo-Cost (DEMAR Inria Research Team) & Jessica Rose (Stanford University); Gabin Personeni (LORIA/Inria); Laurent Amsaleg (LINKMEDIA Inria Research Team) & Michael Franklin (UC Berkeley).

Discover all the details in this month newsletter together with articles about the recent visit of David L. Brown (LBNL) and research collaborations supported by the Inria@SiliconValley Program:
-    the CAPNEONATES Associate Team between the PARIETAL Inria Team and University of Southern California & the Children’s hospital of Los Angeles;
-    The post-doctoral research of Sara Hachem on the Urban Civics Project that is part of the CityLab@Inria collaboration with University of California, Berkeley.

We wish you a nice summer and look forward to receiving your applications in September!
