We hope you had a nice summer break and we look forward to furthering transatlantic collaborative projects during this new Academic year.

In particular, don't miss the deadline of the Inria Associate Team call- September 30th- of which details are recalled in this newsletter

- An overview of the CARDIO associate team results as part of our series on the Inria@SiliconValley collaborative projects launched since 2011. Cardio worked on the challenges of bringing together medical data and numerical simulations of blood and air flow.

 - A news about the SoundCity app on noise pollution awareness, which was launched in Paris in July as part of our research on smart city initiated following the Paris-San Francisco agreement back in 2013 and related Inria-CITRIS collaboration. Feel free to download the app to get aware about your exposure to noise and further contribute to noise mapping worldwide !!

 - A news about XtremeLogic, an ENS Lyon-Inria startup among the winners of NETVA 2015 edition that allows young French innovative companies to effectively address the North American market in their specific industry.

Inria is further pleased to support CAFFEET’2015 taking place in San Francisco on September 29th-30th and involving 2 Inria speakers: Ana Busic and Jacques Sainte-Marie

Last but not least, let us introduce Thierry Priol, the new Director of Inria's European and International Partnerships Department. Thanks to the management of European and International partnerships in a single department, this will facilitate connection between Inria@SiliconValley and EU programs.
