Time flies! It has been a year since we are sharing with you latest news about Inria@SiliconValley through its newsletter. We hope this bring you useful information and you are always welcome to send us any news you would like to share as well as your feedback about our newsletter!

To kick off 2016, we are happy to welcome 4 new joint projects selected in the competitive Associate Team 2016 call. With two new teams with Southern California universities, Inria@SiliconValley shows the willingness to collaborate with teams across California. Continued close collaboration with CITRIS is also highlighted with one new associate team, affiliated with CITRIS. And we are also happy to stress that with 15 ongoing teams in 2016, Inria@SiliconValley is the largest of the ongoing Inria International initiatives !!

Also, with our mission of fostering collaboration, we are glad to announce the launch of 2 transatlantic collaborative projects supported by the European EIT Digital program, involving researchers and entrepreneurs from Europe and California.

In this edition you will also find an overview of the COMET associate team results  and information about current open positions at Inria, which you may be interested in or may want to advertise to colleagues. Visit our Inria@SiliconValley and Inria Web sites for updates on open positions.

Last but not least, Thierry Priol, Inria's European and International Partnerships Director, reviews the highlights of Inria@SiliconValley in 2015 and tells us what to look forward to in 2016!
