By doing so, it supports the creation of future French-American scientific collaborations.

Each FADEx edition focuses on a different scientific topic. The 2018 edition will be organized on artificial intelligence, the ability for a machine to make complex reasoning comparable to human reasoning. This vast and complex field encompasses issues as diverse as image recognition, robot motion planning, car driving or language translation.

Topics of interest

We will focus on the following topics:

Knowledge Representation and Reasoning

Machine Learning (Statistical Learning, Deep Learning)

Problem Solving, Planning and Search

Autonomous Multi-Agents and Robotics

Natural Language Processing

Vision and Image Understanding

Information Retrieval

This high-level program on artificial intelligence is open to Ph.D. students affiliated with a French or American university.
