Tackling the issues the project aims to address requires combining expertise from several areas, including Cloud Computing, correct-by-construction coordination, modelling languages, optimization, run-time monitoring and adaptation. The consortium has two partners:
- Inria, represented by two research teams: Spirals and OLAS
- Scalair and engineering company in the domain of Cloud Computing
SPIRALS is part of the the Inria Center at the University of Lille. The research activities of SPIRALS target the study of self-adaptive software systems. They are anchored in two domains of computer science: middleware and software engineering. We aim at introducing more automation in the adaptation processes of software systems, that is, transitioning from the study of adaptive systems to self-adaptive systems.
OLAS is a joint team between Inria Centre at Université Côte d’Azur and University of Bologna (Italy). The team has strong expertise in modelling concurrent, distributed and mobile systems, in static and dynamic verification techniques, and in (micro)service-oriented architectures.
SCALAIR is an SME specializing in cloud infrastructure optimization and managed services. It deploys, integrates and runs Cloud platforms for over 10 years. The expertise acquired by certified technical teams on market-leading products (VMWare, NetApp, Microsoft, Arista, Linux, Stormshield, Azure, OVH etc.) allows SCALAIR to provide high-quality and tailored Cloud environments.
