SDM-Brine: A stochastic Lagrangian approach for large scale brine discharge simulations

We aim to follow and develop specialized numerical methods designed to model and analyze the behavior of brine discharges in three-dimensional fluid domains with complex bathymetric features. Developed in line with methodologies like those outlined in the WINDPOS project, SDM-Brine aims to incorporate computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques to solve the governing equations of fluid motion following a stochastic Lagrangian approach consistent with Navier-Stokes equations.
The idea is to couple fluid motion equations with a fluid particle feature vector, including information on salinity, temperature, or density-driven properties.
