The dataset, collected by <a href=\"https:\/\/ingenieriaoceanica.uv.cl\/laboceano\">LabOceano<\/a>, was obtained through a tracking procedure applied to 324 videos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our objectives are as follows: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Define observables to measure the impact of a change in salinity on the mobility of sea urchin (Loxechinus albus) and <em>loco<\/em> (Concholepas concholepas) larvae.<\/li><li>Implement an automatic classification algorithm to distinguish the movement of individuals in baseline salinity versus the movement of individuals exposed to altered salinity.<\/li><li>Propose a model for larvae mobility and use a semi-supervised learning approach to estimate the disturbance induced by the salinity change.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Building on a FONDEF project led by Patricio Winckler, we conducted a statistical analysis of larval motility in environments with varying salinity concentrations.
