The Nemo.AI laboratory is a public-private partnership created by INRIA (Accueil | Inria) and InterDigital R&D France (InterDigital – Create. Connect. Live. Inspire.) to foster research on artificial intelligence for media and associated experiences in a digital and responsible society.
Within this collaboration, several projects are expected to start, including numerous collaborators, PhDs and Postdocs with diverse backgrounds. The “Ys.AI” project is the first one of them and is mainly focused on the virtual representation of humans in interactive and responsive scenes, but other projects should be organized on other topics such as video compression.
The Nemo.AI lab has ambitious goals: to create the technologies enabling immersive collaboration and entertainment, while keeping high performances and low resource consumption.
