Cognitive mapping at high spatial resolution of twelve human brains with fMRI

• Under which respect are the left and right hemispheres different?
• Can one decode brain activity?
• Can regional functional organization be inferred from the brain’s connectivity structure?
• What makes the human brain unique?
• How consistent is the topography of brain activity across individuals?

To address these questions, IBC takes a novel approach: scan extensively a group of people in order to collect a huge number of imaging contrasts (both anatomical and functional) and get a sharp definition of the role of each brain region. In particular, we expose the participants to many different stimulation contexts, and observe the patterns of activity across all these situations.
