Mathematical tools for impedance models of sound-absorbing materials in aeronautics

The work presented focuses on sound propagation in flow ducts when the walls are lined with acoustic materials called liners, which are a passive noise reduction system. We are particularly interested in the notion of acoustic impedance at the wall and mathematical tools to describe it. We will thus introduce the homogenization process used for deriving wall impedance models, as well as well-posed impedance boundary conditions for simulations in the time domain.
