Last talks reinforced the basics before moving to more complex settings. They addressed chapters 6, 7 and 8 from Goodfellow et al. book about Deep Feedforward Networks, Regularization for Deep Learning, and Optimization for Training Deep Models, respectively.
Please, do not hesitate to contact us suggesting deep learning topics you consider interesting as well as volunteering to give a talk. In this reading group we seek an active participation of the attendees, so all participants are invited to give a talk about any deep learning subject.
