The First FINALITY Summer School will be held at Inria Sophia Antipolis from 8 to 11 September 2026. Organized within the MSCA Doctoral Network FINALITY, the school welcomes in particular doctoral students, postdocs and young researchers. Under the theme Robust and Distributed AI for Next-Generation Communication Systems, the program will offer advanced training on trustworthy, efficient, and scalable AI methods for interconnected infrastructures. By combining expert lectures with PhD student presentations and discussion sessions, the school aims to foster scientific exchange among participants and to equip early-career researchers with theoretical foundations and practical perspectives for designing robust, distributed, and efficient AI methods. The school will cover topics such as distributed AI at the edge, distributed inference, AI for radio access networks, Bayesian optimization for telecommunications, robust machine learning and reinforcement learning. A certificate for 15 hours of training will be delivered to attendants. The tentative schedule is already available.

Young researchers are encouraged to present their ongoing research work in one of the dedicated sessions in the afternoon. Corresponding short abstracts will be collected and edited in the school’s proceedings to be made available in HAL.

Participation in this event is free (including coffee breaks) but registration is mandatory as the number of places is limited.
