First feedback from the Watchelp watch

After 2.5 weeks of testing, we got feedback from the first occupational therapist who borrowed our watch with the Watchelp app. The watch was helpful for the patient to remind him to take his medications, not to sit idle in front of the TV for too long, and even to make his first salad by himself. The watch helped to reduce tension with the person accompanying him. The conclusion of this test is a request to the MDPH for the purchase of a smartwatch and the application to make this use permanent.

Watchelp is designed for people with cognitive disorders, including memory problems, as well as difficulties in organizing, deciding or planning. The application, via its connected watch or smartphone, guides the user in all daily tasks. The application allows the creation of sequentials, i.e. a sort of timeline composed of images, photos, pictograms… and/or text, placed one after the other. These sequences are then programmed in a schedule and are automatically triggered on the watch (or smartphone) of the dependent person.
