Tremor assessment with NeuroGlyphics software

NeuroGlyphics is an Microsoft-based Windows application developed with the general motivation of adding a quantitative dimension to the often routine tasks of collecting writing samples, drawing an Archimedes spiral or performing static pointing, explored during routine neurological exams.

A TabletPC with an integrated digitizing surface or any PC with an attached digitizing tablet could be transformed into an instrument capable of capturing digital pen-tip kinematic information(*) at a high temporal and spatial resolution, in turn, reflective of hand motor control.  A variety of metrics can be extracted from these data that could be utilized for further quantitative analyzes.
