PlugDB: a secure personal server which allows the individual to exercise control over their personal data, while preserving durability, availability and sharing.

In an era of massive generation of personal data created by individuals, their digital equipments and by public and private organizations, our entire digital life is traced: travel, consumption, leisure, relationships, medical condition, financial, etc.

These data, the new oil of the twenty-first century, are a windfall for the economy and the organization of society, but pose an unprecedented risk to the privacy of individuals.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) calls itself the emergence of solutions allowing keeping the control on personal data: storage location, purpose of the data collection and processing, limited data retention, minimal data exposure to third parties, auditing practices, etc.
