Title: Heterogeneous domain decomposition methods

Abstract:

Heterogeneous domain decomposition methods are domain decomposition methods where one does not solve the same equation in each subdomain. There are two reasons for this to occur: first the physics are different in different regions, and second, the physics is the same, but one wants to use a cheaper model in some regions for computational savings. In this talk we present strategies for the both situations. We give applications for model problems.
