A fundamental shift in thinking is necessary to design communication systems for scenarios entailing event-driven and interactive communication, status updates transmission, and autonomous decision making. Goal-oriented semantic communication has recently emerged as a promising paradigm shift. This meeting will address the open questions and key challenges related to this change of paradigm.
