Code of Conduct

In the organization of this event, the creation of a safe, inclusive, and fair environment is a priority for us. Any allegations or concerns regarding inappropriate behavior will be treated with the utmost seriousness. In case of infraction(s), please do not hesitate to contact the organizers; the issue will be treated anonymously unless specified otherwise.

All attendees of QIA 2026 must agree to the following code of conduct. 

Expectations 

  1. Be kind, considerate, and respectful towards all other individuals.
  2. Be respectful of private and communal property.
  3. Report any inappropriate behavior to the organizing team in person or by email. 

Inappropriate behavior

The following behavior will not be tolerated:

  1. Harassment, bullying and/or intimidation, false accusations, threats, and assault, as well as sexual harassment in public or in private.
  2. Plagiarism and fabrication of data and results.
  3. Using the event to promote hate or discriminatory speech, or to infringe on the rights of others.
  4. Discrimination of any kind, such as on the basis of religion, disability, age, national origin, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. Discrimination includes the use of derogatory comments/slurs.
  5. Impersonation of other persons or entities, as well as falsely claiming the ownership of scientific titles, professional positions, or affiliations.

Harassment may include, but is not limited to: 

  1. Inappropriate comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, and religion.
  2. The display of sexual images.
  3. Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
  4. Harassing photography or recording.
  5. Sustained disruption of talks or other events.
  6. Inappropriate physical contact.
  7. Unwelcome sexual attention.
  8. Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.
