Dear Shanoir community,
we are very happy about this new and exciting announcement:
We have upgraded the already integrated viewer in Shanoir, OHIF (more here)
from version 2 to version 3 (precisely to a very latest ohif/app:v3.9.0-beta.76).
This was quite some work as main parts of the configuration and backend (dicomweb)
requirements slightly changed. But now we are ready for the future with v3 of OHIF!
For our users this brings some pretty remarkable new options:
- 1/2 of the loading time (we made a comparison test and ended up with half of the loading time)
- 2 or more time point comparison in the same window (cross exam/DICOM study)
- Now possibility of segmentation (SEG) and measurement tools (SR) (as part of the new viewer)
- Now storage of both types DICOM SEG and DICOM SR (while using the viewer) into the backend
of Shanoir as SegmentationDataset and MeasurementDataset (with full access management) - Full search and download in Shanoir (Apache Solr) for created segmentation and measurement datasets and display in the tree of Shanoir
- Fix: series now always ordered by seriesNumber + new series filter configured
- Fix: special chars encoding issue solved on series descriptions
This gives a whole new dimension to Shanoir web platform, as now segmentation can be done, where
the images already are and with the corresponding access and rights protection.
We are looking forward to first studies using this feature.
