Shanoir provides a set of web services in order to interact with the server application outside the web interface. Implementations of client tools using these services, that can be integrated in larger applications, are already available :
- ShanoirTk : a box of command line tools implemented in Java to query and retrieve the data from the database and download the image files.
- QtShanoir : a client based on the Qt framework (C++) to browse the data from a Shanoir repository inside a tree widget
Investigations in progress on integrating such developments into advanced image processing software as a plug-in (MedInria, 3D-Slicer, etc .)
