We would be delighted to welcome you to the Winter School on Social Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Multimedia (SoRAIM’27), taking place from February 1st to 5th, 2027, at the Escandille centre in Autrans, in the Vercors mountains near Grenoble, France.
SoRAIM aims to bring together researchers from complementary fields — such as computer vision, speech and audio processing, affective computing, and human-robot interaction — who share a common interest in social robotics and socially intelligent systems. The school fosters cross-disciplinary exchange and discussion, both through formal courses given by internationally recognised experts and through the many opportunities for informal interaction in a relaxed mountain setting.
The school is primarily aimed at PhD students and early-career researchers, though participants from industry and academia at all levels are very welcome. Attendees benefit from an immersive programme that bridges theory and practice, encourages new collaborations, and provides a broad perspective on the state of the art at the intersection of social AI, human-robot interaction, and multimedia.
The venue offers excellent opportunities for outdoor activities and informal networking amid the scenic Vercors mountains, making SoRAIM as much a scientific retreat as a winter school.
