In this part of the project, we are working on network breathing and energy efficiency versus spectral efficiency. The invloved PhD students are:

We mainly study three different aspects, which are the following:
- WLAN Density: what is the WLAN density in urban area, how can we characterize the network using crowd sourcing and applications from the AP data base
- Trade-of between energy efficiency (EE) and Spectral efficiency (SE): from a theory perpective, is there an optimum between EE and SE using a given number of BS
- Switching BS/AP On and Off: in order to adapt to user density, we developed serveral algorithms to switch on and off AP/BS.
