The boat-detecting sensors are ready! They are being tested at Inria-Paris, and will be deployed at the Cap d’Agde by the end of the August.
Ziran and Thomas were in London attending invited IOT workshop
On July 6th and 7th, Ziran and Thomas were at UCL attending invited IOT workshop. Ziran presented the SmartMarina project during the workshop and identified a potential collaborator to test a vision-based vessel identification system.

Prototype sensor system ready!
We developed the first wireless boat-detection sensor prototype at Inria. Each features two Maxbotix ultrasonic range finder to detect if boats are present.
First network deployed!
We deployed a test network consisting of seven nodes at the heart of Cap d’ Adge marina. This first deployment allows us to verify the connectivity between nodes in the marina environment. Over the weekend, all the nodes remained perfectly connected! We are now moving to the next task: testing the…
