EU- Brazil Biodiversa+ Call for Nature-based solutions

Biodiversa+, the European Biodiversity Partnership under Horizon Europe, announced the new transnational joint research call on Nature-based solutions for biodiversity, human well-being and transformative change (referred to as BiodivNBS).
This call supports 3-year research projects on biodiversity and Nature-based Solutions, focusing on:

  • Understanding synergies and trade-offs with human well-being.
  • Mitigating human-induced biodiversity loss.
  • Promoting just transformative change.

The call will cover transnational, interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary, and cross-sectoral research projects on Nature-based Solutions in all parts of the world. All realms (i.e. terrestrial, marine, coastal, and freshwater) will be eligible. 

Participating countries: 28 Funding Organisations from 31 countries are joining this call and have reserved – together with the European Commission – a total amount of ca. 40 Million €. Each Research Partner involved in a proposal must comply with the eligibility criteria and rules of its national / regional funding organisations.
