Dataset processing
Dataset processing is an important part of neuro-imaging. Images can be processed for image segmentation, calibration, filtering and others procedures that will produce enhanced images.
These images should be kept along with original ones.
This is now possible in Shanoir to define a dataset processing with one or multiple parent datasets and directly import processed nifti dataset into the database.
Each new processed dataset will be directly linked to its parent and every informations about the processing is kept.
Processed dataset import procedure
– “Import processed dataset”
– Select a nifti image of the processed dataset
– Select the clinical context, with study and subject concerned.
– Create a dataset processing (processing type, name, comment) and select parent(s) dataset(s).
–> The processed dataset is now stored and referenced in every selected parent dataset.
