BIS’2016 – The Inria@SiliconValley workshop with California partners
The annual BIS workshop is part of the joint research program Inria@SiliconValley. It is co-organized by Inria and its partners in California. The objectives of the workshop are to present the current status of ongoing scientific collaborations and to work on proposals for future ambitious joint projects.
BIS’2016 is organized in partnership with CITRIS, The Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society, and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (see the page of The Science Office @ the French Consulate in San Francisco) and will be hosted by Inria on June 8th-10th, 2016 in Paris.
As for the 2 previous editions, the event will be structured around plenary and parallel working sessions to promote collaborations as much as share our findings and visions:
- June 8th will feature keynote talks highlighting results of ongoing collaborations within Inria@SiliconValley
- June 9th will host 3 parallel full-day working sessions respectively focused on:
- Mathematics and high performance computing
- Digital sciences and technologies for smart cities: From the networking infrastructure to public engagement
- Brainhack on Open-source Python Code Development for Neuroimaging
- June 10th will be co-located with the Futur en Seine Festival, the premier rendez-vous for digital innovation in Paris, and offer a one-day international conference on “Digital sciences and technologies for health”.
