France-Berkeley Funding launched its 2021 call for projects. Among the five bilateral funds that exist between France and American universities, the France-Berkeley Fund is the oldest. It subsidizes innovative research projects likely to give rise to lasting cooperation between France and the University of California, Berkeley, and promotes the exchange of researchers and students.
Funding is provided for new collaborations with researchers at UC Berkeley or LBNL (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory) and can be up to $12,000. Projects will be for a duration of 18 months beginning on July 1st, 2021. Applications must be submitted by February 1st, 2021. Artificial intelligence and digital technology are priority areas in this year’s call.
